Utah Parents Center
The Utah Parent Center is a training and information center with the goal of aiding children and youth with all disabilities in helping other parents that similar challenges throughout Utah. Resources provided include toll-free telephone access to recieve information, support and referrals, workshops on a variety of topics, videos, webinars, and publications. Disabilities highlighted within this site include autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, emotional disorders, intellectual disabilities, orthopedic impairment, traumatic brain injury, and more. This site has resources covering a number of related subjects including, but not limited to, bullying, guardianship, laws, math resources, siblings, recreation, person center planning, etc.
Inclusion Guide for Programs
The Disability Inclusive Development Toolkit is a 176 page, downloadable pdf guide highlighting disability-inclusive development policy. The different chapters target different audiences: Chapter 1 provides materials for staff induction; chapter 2 focuses on support for managers; chapter 3 is for staff and partners working in programs; and chapter 4 addresses inclusive training and facilitation.
